My practice focuses on two areas:

• Appeals of civil matters directed to Washington State Courts of Appeal, including the Washington State Supreme Court.
• Trial court briefing for cases before Washington State and Federal courts involving complex issues in commercial contracts, real estate, and trusts and estates.  

Clear and logically compelling arguments do not guarantee success in legal disputes, but their absence almost ensures failure on appeal.   As an economist with a Ph.D. from Harvard, a graduate of  Yale Law School, and a former law clerk to a United States District Court Judge in Tacoma, I have a comparative advantage in crafting persuasive legal analyses of complex issues on behalf of businesses and individuals.  I also do contract research and  writing for other attorneys.
